today he smoked 2 pork shoulders, and 4 chickens. . . they ALL came out GREAT.
yup… that is a old food grade barrel… wheels added, vent piping, full racks inside, a firebox and ash bin in the bottom. this thing ROCKS…and hey… ya gotta LOVE the flames….
looks good doesn’t it? it was…. oh yeah… it was….

now, I don’t expect a literary masterpiece from anyone who write the sun, but that review is ridiculous.

do do doo lookin out back part duex

LOOK AT THE BABY DEER!” . so, I look out back… and sure enough, there is a doe back there. I tell her,”thats not a baby, thats a big dear”. she says “NO! THERE IS ANOTHER ONE, RIGHT THERE!” I look, and look..keep looking back by the woods. she keeps sayin “RIGHT THERE!” I look a little closer to the house… and I notice the spots. about 5 feet out from my window. laying right in the yard is a fawn, that appeared to be possibly a couple days old.
just after it stood up……
btw….ignore the yard, today is the day the back gets the first mow of the year, being that we just bought the house, I wanted to see what actually grows back there… I knew it had been neglected, but not this bad…

I LOVE just about anything with a motor that goes fast. that being said, I am not a fan of ricer cars, nor am I a fan of mullet mobiles… so, imagine my disgust when I came across this Camaro yesterday on the way home from recording some more stuff for our boy Maceri.
now, look at that…. this guy obviously knows that dragons like to mate with cars, so he is trying to entice them bad boys to his hot and open tale pipe….. that is the ONLY possible reason for this abortion of a graphic. I mean, I can understand it on an Asian vehicle, but this is raw Detroit iron worthy of a billy ray cyrus hairdo and trailer park girls lining up for miles. the #3 is a nice touch…. I am certain ole Dale would love the tribute.
but, no… that was not all… take a look at this..
Look at that… he has a “RACING” sticker…. not that he is Identifying any particular team. well, except the Redwings, but I am certain he would be slammed into the boards by any member of the team that saw the ‘ole winged wheel on this abomination.
Possibly the most hilarious part of the car isn’t actually on it, though all the signs are there…. take a look at the rear spoiler…. obviously the factory designed original was not enough for this man, because it you look closely… there are mounts for a big ass ricer wing….
ladies… please… if you see this man on the street… laugh at him, mock him, and do not EVER let him breed….

yes, we are right on an old golf course… it is supposed to reopen this year, but I tell ya they have a ton of work to do… because currently, we have lake front property…
its a shame they are going to drain it into the lake down the street… its absolutely gorgeous…

Posted in forums, freedom, liberty, political, the insanity of war, things that piss me off on April 9, 2008 by fresnelThere are frequent discussions through the tubes on any number of chat boards about the war in Iraq, and you will hear the same thing from the pro war crowd… “freedom isn’t free” . same thing goes when people talk about the “war on terror” they keep talking about how the patriot act is not a loss of freedom, the terrorists want to take our freedom, freedom this, freedom that…. everyone focusing on the concept of freedom.
what gets lost in this with me is this… our founding fathers didn’t really talk that much about freedom… but they did talk a whole bunch about LIBERTY.
look at our founding documents. the constitution mentions liberty 3 times all of them referencing the government not encroaching upon a persons liberties, and freedom is only referenced one time… in context of the 1st amendment. also, liberty is a key principle of declaration of independence, yet freedom is never mentioned.
so, what does this mean?and why am I even talking about it?
well,I have been thinking about this a lot lately, as I notice items in the news wherein the government continues to encroach upon our personal liberties, but not necessarily our freedom. we are not being incarsarated, so our freedom is in tact, but we no longer have the LIBERTY to actually pursue what our hearts may desire… I.E.–happiness… under what the fathers of our country envisioned, I should be able to do what ever I want, as long as i am not preventing someone else from doing what they want. THAT, is liberty.
yet, how many prohibitions do we have going on right now? I am not a drug user, frankly not a fan, but I SHOULD have the LIBERTY to do them if I wanted to. there are any number of subjects that have the same issue, and i am leaving the moral arguments out of this. liberty is liberty irregardless of any moral argument. liberty looks at morality and giggles, because it knows that my moral code may differ from yours and vice versa. but our liberty is exactly the same.
and after all —-
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
—– right?
maybe we need to start reading more of that document and look at what exactly is prescribed in such a situation-
That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.
I am no seditionist, I LOVE my country, I just think that the language has been co-opted, the concepts by which we were established have been destroyed, and we need to start looking toward how we really reach that true American Ideal … it isn’t about freedom. it is about LIBERTY.
